When asked how long I’ve been doing makeup and my answer is simply, always!  I have ALWAYS loved and played with makeup but started getting serious about it in 2006 when I worked as a Color Expert at Sephora.  Bringing out someone’s natural beauty by playing up their best features is when I am happiest but I also love being challenged to do something out of the box. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me at home with my hubby of 8 years and our 2 beautiful kids!

After receiving my esthetic license in 2007 I started working full time at a medical spa. My extensive background and experience with skincare sparked my interest in all aspects of the skin/beauty industry. Every face, every skin type, and every personality are different. This challenges me to learn and know even more about making people beautiful than just makeup. There is nothing better in this world than to make someone feel more beautiful than they have ever felt. When I’m not doing what I love I’m spending time with my husband and being a mother to a brand new baby girl.

My favorite styles of hair to do are effortless, side swept updos and long, beachy and beautiful waves. As a licensed cosmetologist since 2009 and a graduate of Texas A&M University (whoop!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication since 2012, my position as a hairstylist for SKMU combines my love for people, weddings, style and beauty. In addition to my passion for the beauty industry, I’m a doting wife and a lover of home decor. I write a blog called Lots of Lovely that houses inspiration for the home, style and beauty.

I started cosmetology in 2007 and right after went straight to Texas A&M University. There I gained a degree in Marketing and worked in the corporate world for a couple years. Something always felt like it was missing and I discovered what it was, being creative with hair! I love the artistry in creating effortless and romantic up-dos and making someone feel so beautiful on their big day!

I graduated cosmetology school with my license and associates degree in applied science in July of 2015. I am so excited to be the newest member of Sunkissed and Made Up. Combining my love for makeup and hair in the bridal industry is a dream come true for me! When I’m not beautifying others, you can find me and my twin sister blogging about fashion and lifestyle over at Double Shot of Sass.
